It has been a big surprise to see the RajasthanRoyals play the way they have done. Shane Warne has captained the side very well. They are the only team to be sure of a place in the final four. This in spite of having a team with minimum number of international players. The few international players in the team have really performed well. Smith has been giving a solid opening along with Yusuf Pathan. Warne has bowled really well and his smart moves on the field have produced instant results.Shane Watson has also done well with both the bat and the ball. Though not really famous for skills in the international arena he has really used this opportunity so show case his skills to the world. The news of the Jaipur blast must have disturbed the team very much so it would be interesting to see how well this teams come back against the average Bangalore team.

Delhi team very unfortunate
Delhi has been a very good team. Captained by Sehwag it has performed really well. This team has two of the top five run scorers. The top order has really clicked. Gautham has played really well and has carried his good run in the T20 world cup into the IPL. The much hyped AB de from South Africa has not performed well. Dhawan has played really well. The first three batsmen have won them games esp Gautham. But they are not fortunate enough. They have lost matches which they should have won with ease. The last ball defeat to ChennaiSuperKings, the lost to Knight riders etc. But the good thing about this team is that it has a pretty cool captain. Glen McGrath has bowled well and is being supported by other bowlers well. Asif has been expensive at times but is capable of providing vital break through. This team is not far away from a semi final berth. Hope it reaches the semis.

ChennaiSuperKings struggle after Hayden,Hussey return to Australian colours
The ChennaiSuperKings were considered the best team in the IPL after they won their first four matches. But this was mainly due to Hayden’s hard hitting and Hussey’s(often called Mr. cricket) magic with the bat. As soon they left to Australia the ChennaiSuperKings could not find replacements. The former NZ captain Stephen Fleming could not fit into Hayden’s big shoes. He was trying to hit the ball hard which is unlike him. He is a good player when he times the ball. Hence ChennaiSuperKings have not been getting good starts. Badrinath has done his best to fill Hussey’s spot but still Hussey is too big player to miss. The ChennaiSuperKings have a good bowler in Goni. Goni is more than handy with the bat. He won them a game against Delhi with his 10 runs of the last over. Suresh Raina and Dhoni have played really well. Murali could pick more wicket than he has done now.

Mumbai people expected sachins magic but it was sanath's fireworks
Sachins first IPL match was some thing to remember not for his batting but Jayasuriya’s batting. Jayasuriya hit a scintillating 45-ball 100 to take Mumbai to the target with ease. Sanath was really in a bad mood punishing every ball from the Chennaisuperkings bowlers. At a point of time even a dot ball was as hard as a maiden over such was his dominance. He was not even hitting 4s every hit of his was landing behind the ropes and most of the time in the stands. This happened after ChennaiSuperKings struggle to set paltry target. What this win does is it gives the Mumbai Indians a great chance as the their low net run rate got a great boost because of this innings from Sanath.

When one looks at the names of the players in the Kings XI team we would expect the team to depend heavily on players like sangakara, SL captain Mahela Jayawardene and obviously sixer yuvi. But cricket is a funny game no one knows what may happen in a game. When we expect good knocks from the above three they have hardly had any chance to do so. It’s because of the great start that they get from Shaun marsh. He is in the top five leading run scorers in the IPL even though he has played only 5 matches compared to the 9 matches that the other batsmen have had. Hope he continues his good form.
